What were the drivers for you wanting to work with a business coach?

There were three key areas for us. We wanted a much better understanding of our finances – specifically around cash flow and profit and loss. For me, I was looking for coaching and mentoring around Finance and for my husband Darren, who’s the Managing Director of the business, it was coaching and mentoring in Sales. We both attended REACH’s free seminars. This three-hour session really chimed with us. When Jas sat with us and went through the expected outcomes, we quickly made the decision to go ahead.

Why did you choose REACH Business Coaching?

I met Angela at a business networking event. She was delivering a presentation on the work that REACH does. She was articulate, clear, organised and consistent. She was the mouthpiece for what Jas could deliver and the people at that event validated what they offered.

When we met Jas, it was clear that he is organised, he has a consistency of message, he’s brilliant at time keeping and making sure things stay on track, efficient and to the point. He has clear objectives. He also gave us a ‘back door‘ out, if it wasn’t for us.

What were some of your specific challenges and outcomes?

We started our business in 2016 and wanted to get ourselves established quickly. What Darren was looking for was sales support. With Jas, we got that. He built and transformed Darren’s confidence and level of communication to get things over the line. It was a good process for us and for our clients, so it helped us to grow our business.

Finance was also a challenge – particularly understanding the numbers. By working with Jas, we quickly developed our Profit and Loss & cashflow templates. I understood what I needed to do, but Jas taught me where I was going wrong.

His recruitment and induction processes are great too and gives you real focus. We’ve very recently used this process and found the perfect person to join our team who shares the same values as us.

So, in a nutshell, by working with Jas we’ve increased our turnover, we have a happy team and I now have a healthy respect for the cash required to keep the business going and growing.
