You can grow your business and still eat the chocolate

I’ve always loved Easter—not just because of the long weekend or the excuse to eat your body weight in chocolate—but because it’s one of those holidays that quietly sneaks up on us. Less pressure than Christmas, fewer obligations, and a chance to slow down (even if it’s just for a few days) and take stock.

But rather than diving into the usual “new beginnings” theme, I’ve been thinking about something else Easter reminds me of: the power of simple joy.

Whether it’s unwrapping your favourite chocolate egg, having a laugh with the family, or just switching off for a while—it’s often these small, almost throwaway moments that give us the biggest reset. And as business owners, it’s so easy to overlook them because we’re always focusing on what’s next.

But here’s the thing: joy and success aren’t mutually exclusive. You can be ambitious and still rest. You can grow your business and still eat the chocolate, take the walk, and enjoy a cuppa with your loved ones before diving into your inbox. You can lead a team, manage your numbers, and still leave work early to catch your kid’s school play—or in our case, to visit the girls at uni or just enjoy a quiet night in.

That’s the balance we believe in at REACH. The version of success where you don’t have to choose between building something amazing and actually enjoying it.
