Every business goes through chaos at some point. What’s important is we maintain control of the situation.
If you feel that your business is always in chaos, I can tell you something for nothing: 98% of other businesses are.
Most of the time, we only the successful side of businesses without realizing how much struggle and chaos they go through behind their public façade. No business ever goes smoothly all of the time; even the biggest companies hit bumps on the road every now and then.
It’s like the swan gliding gracefully across the water. But what we don’t see is how it’s going crazy under the water, paddling its feet wildly in order to keep itself afloat and gliding.
So don’t worry, every single business has been through a rough patch at some point. But what separates the ones that survive from the ones that go down the drain?
The answer: control.
Somebody once said to me, “You know what, my stress goes down when I know what’s going on, when I have control. Even if it’s not great, at least I know. And that’s very, very soothing.”
Control is about keeping yourself updated, informed and in control of everything that’s going on in your business. Things may not always go as planned all the time, but maintaining control can prevent chaos from completely eating up the situation. As a matter of fact, a lot of game-changing initiatives were brought out of chaos. With proper control, you can still make something valuable out of complete mayhem.
My job as a Business Coach is to help you separate yourself from that sphere of chaos and look at it at a bigger perspective. Most businesses struggle to stay alive after a chaotic phase because they tend to lose control of the situation. With proper coaching, you can regain that composure and begin working on the solution. It starts with making sure you know every little detail and how certain things affect each other.
That’s mastery. It’s is about grabbing control of your business so you can make educated decisions going forwards.
