More than just metrics
When we talk about reviewing “numbers,” we don’t just mean turnover or profit. That’s part of it, of course—but what about other key indicators? Lead generation, client retention, team productivity, or even your own energy levels?
These numbers tell a story. If something feels off in the day-to-day, chances are the data reflects it. Likewise, if things are quietly improving, your numbers will likely confirm that too.
Where are the gaps?
Look for the areas where expectations and outcomes aren’t lining up. Are you generating leads but not converting them? Is your revenue steady but margins shrinking? Have you grown but your processes haven’t kept up?
These gaps are gold. Not because they signal failure, but because they show you where to focus next. You can’t fix what you’re not aware of. And nothing slows a business down faster than avoiding the numbers.
Are your goals still relevant?
