Where did your hours go this year?

The final chapter of another year is here! It’s crazy how fleeting time feels. It’s the busiest season for many, yet somehow, it’s also when time feels most precious. With diaries packed, to-do lists growing, and the holidays around the corner, it’s easy to wonder: where did all those hours go this year?

For me, much of this year was spent juggling the many hats of running REACH, being a parent, and finding moments to simply pause and breathe. I think back to the hours preparing our daughters for the new chapters in their lives, and those precious quiet moments with Jas, reflecting on our shared wins, goals and dreams. Of course, all that on top of the hours spent working in and on the business. Every one of those moments felt significant, yet the year seems to have slipped through my fingers in a blur.

The truth is, our hours tell a story—not just of work or achievements, but of priorities. How much time did we spend on the things that really matter? Did we pour enough energy into the moments that fuel us, into the people who uplift us? Or did too many hours disappear into distractions, tasks that could have been delegated, or chasing things that didn’t align with our bigger goals?

At REACH, one thing we always encourage our clients to do is reflect—not just on their wins but on how they spend their time. It’s not about working harder; it’s about working smarter and living fuller. Where did your hours go this year? If it feels like you spent too many chasing rather than cherishing, know that you’re not alone.
